Upon arrival at the Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met by your Tanzania Luxury Safari guide and driven to Arusha. This is a city located at the base of Mount Meru and the main entrance to Tanzania’s northern safari circuit. You will be lodged at Njiro Legacy, a quiet lodge in the outskirts of the town, where you can rest after your flight. You may have a stroll in the garden or a swim before dinner, according to how you arrive. Your guide will also brief you on the safari ahead.

In the morning you go to Lake Manyara National Park, where the lions climb trees and huge flocks of flamingos. The park presents a combination of landscapes, ranging between acacia woodland and the underground spring fed groundwater forests. When you are driving in the park, you might find the feeding of the elephants under fig trees, the giraffes exploring along the lake side, and the units of baboons crossing the road. This park will be particularly satisfying to birdwatchers and more than 400 species have been observed. Later in the afternoon you head back to lodge at Karatu, a small lodge in the green highlands close to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

The following three days will be spent in the Serengeti National park which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site due to the great migration and the incredibly high concentration of wildlife. This trip is initiated by a picturesque drive along the Ngorongoro highlands then onto your first game drive as you head into the vast plains of the Serengeti.
During these days you will trace the beat of the park with early and late drives. In the mornings, they move particularly, when such predators as lions, cheetahs, and leopards are on the move. The open plains feature huge herds of wildebeest and zebras and the kopjes (rocky outcrops) feature resting places of big cats. You may also see elephants, buffaloes and hyenas. It is a sight one cannot forget and during the migration season, thousands of animals moved across the plains.

Today we move out of the Serengeti this morning, and head northwards through the highlands to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You go down 600 meters down to the Ngorongoro Crater the largest intact volcanic caldera in the world. This wonder of nature sustains one of the most populated populations of big mammals in Africa. One often encounters lions, black rhinos, hippos, wildebeest, a variety of species of antelopes. There is also a salt lake, Lerai Forest and grasslands on the crater floor that provide a variety of habitats on a very limited territory.

You drive Arusha after taking breakfast. You can have short cultural or shopping experiences in town depending on your flight schedule and these activities might include visiting the local market or the Cultural Heritage Centre.
