Bougainvillea Safari Lodge

Bougainvillea Safari Lodge is located on the outskirts of Karatu town about midway between Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro  Crater. We look forward to your visit when we can offer you true Tanzanian hospitality and a warm welcome.

Simple homey comforts at a reasonable price. We’ve created a small sanctuary on the edge of Karatu town where safari travelers can take a break from the dusty roads and enjoy fresh country cuisine, a cool garden environment, and stellar Tanzanian hospitality.

Accommodation

Bougainvillea Safari Lodge has thirty-two cottages set throughout our lushly landscaped property. Ten rooms in five double cottages are located in our coffee garden. The rest of the rooms are located surrounding the pool area.

Each cozy room at Bougainvillea Safari Lodge has a mosquito-netted king or twin bed, a dressing area, a fireplace, a large bathroom with a shower, and a veranda from which to enjoy the views of our lush tropical gardens. Triples are possible with prior notice and two of the cottages can be used as family suites, with connecting rooms.

The Lodge has a swimming pool, which provides the perfect respite after a day of adventure.
