Day by day Program
Day 1: Arusha (1400 m) – Miriakamba Hut (2500 m)
First day of your 4 Days Mount Meru Trekking after early morning breakfast in Arusha (1400 m), you will be picked up from your hotel and brought to the Momella Gate in Arusha National Park. At this time, the porters will organize and pack the belongings for the hike while you and your guide register with the Tanzania National Park (TANAPA). You will then begin your ascent in Arusha National Park. The first day of hiking is similar to a walking safari; you should expect to see giraffes, zebras, antelope, buffalo, and potentially elephants near the trail. Due to the high possibility of spotting wildlife, an armed ranger, hired through the National Park, is required to hike with our team for the duration of the hike. As you continue hiking, you will pass the Ngarenanyuki River and a beautiful waterfall at the base of Mt. Meru. Upon arriving at Miriakamba Hut (2500 m), your chef will prepare a hot dinner and washing water for you. Enjoy the beautiful sunset and overnight

Day 2: Miriakamba Hut (2500 m) – Saddle Hut (3500 m)

Ngorongoro is a multiple land use area where the Maasai, who are pastorals, share the same ecosystem with wild animals; the area is part of the Serengeti ecosystem in the north and northwest of the Ndutu region, where between December and April is the best time to see the calving of wildebeest and zebras.
The Ngorongoro Crater is the largest unbroken and non-flooded caldera in the world; the main attraction of Ngorongoro is the crater, which formed after the large volcano exploded and collapsed on itself and formed a caldera

Day 4: Miriakamba Hut (2500 m) – Arusha (1400 m)
After a long rest and breakfast, we will begin our final descent to Momella Gate. We will hike through forests and meadows where it is likely to spot wildlife.

Tarangire, one of Tanzania’s premier parks, is renowned for its unique features. The Tarangire River, a perennial water source, attracts a diverse range of wildlife, making it a must-see destination.
Tarangire is known and famous for its large elephant concentration, baobab trees, and beautiful landscapes; you expect to see heads of buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, hippos, baboons, and antelopes. For bird watchers, Tarangire is where over 400 bird species have been recorded in this park, including rare species animals like Greater Kudu, wild dogs, and fringed fringed-eared Oryx, which are also among rare animal species.

Day 11 : Stone Town and Zanzibar Spice tour
On this day after breakfast, you check out of the beach resort and we drive to the Spice plantations of Zanzibar. At one of these legendary plantations of the spice island of Zanzibar, we get to explore the history of the plantations as well as learn more about the spices and fruits that were introduced to the island by explorers from the Arab world and some from Europe. We get to sample also a sumptuous lunch at the spice plantations to get a taste of local Swahili dishes. After this tour in the afternoon, we head to Stonetown for a tour of this ancient town that has been also declared a world heritage site by the United Nations body; UNESCO. We go down the narrow alleys and streets and get to see the cathedrals, the Old Fort, the House of Wonders and the Peoples Palace as well. It is an opportunity to buy some spices as well as some souvenirs

Day 12 : Transfer to Zanzibar Airport - Departure
Depending on your flight schedule and departure point you will be transferred to the Zanzibar Airport to take a flight back home. If you are flying out of Dar es Salaam or Nairobi, we will arrange a connection flight for you to catch your flight back home Marking the end of your Safari
