Your family safari adventure begins in Arusha, where the welcoming team from Tanzania Private Safari greets you at your hotel or upon arrival at the airport. After a brief introduction, you’ll board a comfortable 4×4 safari vehicle designed for families and set off on a scenic 2.5-hour drive to Tarangire National Park. Known for its sweeping savannah plains, iconic baobab trees, and the wildlife-rich Tarangire River, the park offers the perfect introduction to Tanzania’s spectacular wilderness.

Once inside the park, your experienced guide will lead an exciting game drive through Tarangire’s diverse landscapes. The park is famous for its large elephant herds, often seen grazing alongside zebras, giraffes, and wildebeest. Children will love spotting colorful bird species such as the lilac-breasted roller and hornbills, while parents keep watch for lions resting beneath acacia trees or elusive leopards draped across branches. Around midday, you’ll pause for a picnic lunch near the river, surrounded by the natural sounds of the African bush, as your guide shares fascinating insights into the park’s wildlife and ecosystems.

Day By Day Program

Day 0 : Arrival

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where you will be warmly welcomed by our professional driver-guide. After a short briefing, enjoy a scenic drive to Arusha, the safari capital of Tanzania. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge or hotel for dinner and a restful overnight stay as you prepare for your exciting group joining safari to Serengeti and Ngorongoro.

Day 1: Serengeti National Park.

After an early breakfast in Arusha, our experienced safari driver will pick you up for a transfer to Mto wa Mbu, a vibrant cultural town near Lake Manyara, where you will join other travelers for your group safari adventure. From there, begin your journey toward the world-famous Serengeti National Park, passing through the scenic Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a region rich in landscapes, wildlife, and Maasai culture. Arrive in the Serengeti in time for an afternoon game drive, where you’ll have your first opportunity to spot lions, elephants, giraffes, and perhaps even a leopard as the sun sets over the endless plains.

Day 2: Serengeti National Park.

Start your day with a half-day game drive in the iconic Serengeti National Park, exploring its vast plains teeming with wildlife. This is the perfect time to spot predators like lions and cheetahs on the hunt, as well as herds of wildebeest, zebras, and antelope roaming freely across the savannah. After lunch, embark on a scenic late afternoon drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, enjoying views of the crater highlands along the way. Arrive at your lodge or campsite near the crater rim in time for dinner and a peaceful overnight stay, surrounded by the natural beauty of Tanzania’s most celebrated wilderness.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater

After an early breakfast, descend 600 meters into the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive inside one of the most wildlife-dense areas in Africa. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to the endangered black rhino, as well as lions, elephants, buffalos, and hippos—all within the crater floor’s rich ecosystem. Enjoy stunning landscapes and close-up wildlife encounters in what’s often called Africa’s Eden. After the safari, begin your return journey to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon or evening for an overnight stay, marking the end of your unforgettable 3-day Serengeti and Ngorongoro group joining safari.
